There’s just something about a burger that’s hard not to love. They’re filling, they’re delicious, and cavemen would argue – they’re even nutritious. And speaking from experience, burgers are even harder not to love when they’re filled with sun-dried tomatoes and warm, creamy goat cheese. Try these out when you’re looking to jazz up the traditional burger a little bit. Trust me, they are amazing.
Sun-Dried Tomato & Goat Cheese Burgers
- 1 lb ground beef (I used 80/20)
- 1 egg
- 4 tbsp sun-dried tomatoes
- 4 oz of goat cheese
Mix the egg into the ground beef until they are well-combined and then divide the beef into four equal sized balls. Flatten the balls into thin patties and place a tbsp of sun-dried tomatoes and 1 oz of goat cheese onto each burger patty. Using your hands, wrap the patty around the sun-dried tomatoes and goat cheese and make sure to seal the burger well. Cook the burgers over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side. Then remove the pan from the heat, cover it, and let the burgers rest for an additional 5 minutes in order to achieve 4 delicious medium-rare burgers (cook longer if you like them more well-done). Enjoy!
